Description

We are looking for a Coffee shop manager to help us with daily operations of our craft coffee shop and coworking space. To be successful in this role you should have work experience with various roles in coffee shops, be organized, and have a can do attitude. Our team is built out of go-getters and creative thinkers so we definitely want you to do the same! We love to have fun, and believe that teamwork makes the dream work. Ultimately, you will help increase profitability, boost customer engagement and turn our place into a local favorite for craft coffee and a fantastic spot for working (upstairs will be the coworking space). We absolutely want this space to be a welcoming one – we’ll even have our office dog, Flynn the golden doodle, to help you greet customers! Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the coffee shop and coworking space
  • Hire and onboard new wait staff/baristas
  • Train employees on drinks preparation and proper use of coffee equipment
  • Coordinate with vendors and order supplies, as needed (like takeaway cups, coffee, milk and other ingredients etc)
  • Maintain updated records of daily, weekly and monthly revenues and expenses
  • Help us with the menu in terms of seasonal drinks etc
  • Advise staff on the best ways to resolve issues with clients and deliver excellent customer service
  • Ensure all cafe areas are tidy
  • Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation
  • Manage the coworking space in handling new and current clients

    Requirements

  • Work experience as a Cafe Manager or Barista (plus points if you’ve managed a coworking space before)
  • Hands-on experience with professional coffee machines
  • College degree
  • Good math skills
  • A great sense of humor (we like to joke around and have a good time!)
  • Availability to work within opening hours (can include holidays)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
